Catkin Coffee

What a gem! We stop by after a local hike up Mt. Townsend and were blown away by the quality of the coffee. The beans were roasted to perfection and brewed exquisitely! We had a Japanese style iced coffee that was out of this world and a shaken iced espresso drink with sweetened condensed milk that was perfect. Both were some of the best coffee I have ever had! We will be back!

You can tell that the owners of Catkin have years of experience as baristas. Every coffee I’ve had there has been spot on and their specialty drinks are unique and delicious. This place is an absolute gem.

Best coffee, best humans, a must stop ! It truly doesn’t get better than Catkin. The lovely owners are always behind the bar and all of the coffee is roasted right there. They are truly coffee experts, but also some of the most hospitable, welcoming people in the industry. Don’t skip on buying a bag of whole bean to take home with you!

The coffee was so delicious and flavorful I could not bring myself to add my usual half and half. And I paid less than 3 for a 12oz cup of coffee! Friendly staff and relaxed vibe, some outdoor seating. A great sandwich shop next door allowed us to bring our coffee to enjoy with lunch on their outdoor deck.

This is a special place, full of love and thoughtful touches. We tried the baklava latte and the chai, and both were amazing. We ended up buying some beans because everything was just so damn delicious. This is clearly a place cultivated by for and it is as welcoming as it is tasty. I’m devastated that we don’t live closer otherwise we would be in constantly. Also the cowboy croissant! That was bonkers! It’s haunting me!!

Lovely, very high quality coffee spot. The baklava latte was as good as others have said, and our kids enjoyed their Italian soda and tea. The space is nice for a break. Lots of natural light, plants, and cleverly repurposed furniture. Bathroom was really clean and, although my kids are too old now, I appreciated that the toilet had a built-in, drop down toddler size toilet seat that fits over the normal one.

What an incredible experience with comfortable lounging. The owner was very knowledgeable. They make their own syrups, today the lavender syrup was fresh. We came in on chai day and the aromas were so wonderful! They sell their coffee blends which are delicious. They also sell sipping vinegars from a local farm and their cow's milk is farm fresh. 10 out of 5 Stars!

I was in town visiting my 88 year old parents when my mother took a fall. So my stay was extended as my sister and I cared for her in her recovery. It was an intense time for the whole family of coming to terms with their needs going forward and full-time caregiving. Who supported me through this process? My husband, my friends, and Catkin coffee. As many days as I could, I would sneak away in the morning to have one of their amazing coffees and their divine pastries. The owner’s friendly welcome buoyed me as I started my day, the coffee fueled me, and the pastry was a little necessary act of self-care. Catkin coffee is like a little oasis, there’s even a beautiful garden area in the back. Basically, I would give 10 stars if I could. I’m so glad this place exists out here in this little corner of the world.
